The name for this story has been difficult to choose, at first I thought about simply calling it "Hayley", after the main character, to represent the name a trans person chooses for themselves, another name I thought about was "Her Speech" as the speech she gives at her parent's funeral is what the whole story is leading towards. Eventually I decided to come up for a name that fitted the general tone of the story. So sat on "Fall in the City" before finally deciding on "Fall" which represents the feeling of falling and the season in which the movie takes place.                                                                                                                           ...

While I haven't decided on a name for this story. I can say I've decided , on a story. I originally thought of this story a few years ago after doing research into the sacrifices that many Transgender individuals make in their lives, especially the ones who end up having to cut off contact from their parents. This included documentary's such as My Transexual Summer on Channel 4  As well as researching real stories. MY Project features the story of a young woman, who ran away form her parents at a young age. When the story starts, she's returned to the city she ran away from after finding out her parents have both been killed in a car crash and she's been named legal guardian of the 5 year old sister she never knew she had. The story in itself is inspired by a number of TV & Film dramas. For example the story of Gilmore Girls which had one of its main character, Lorelai, run away from her parents at a young age when she found out she was pregnant.

I played around with a number of ideas for this project what is described below are some of the ideas that I've decided not to pursue at this time, however I would still like to return to them in the future. A Dog's Day This is the story of a blind assistant dog taking care of his owner at a theme park, (styled around the Magic Kingdom). As the owner waits in an incredibly long line for a ride, Seety, ends up roaming the park on his own, enjoying the food and the shows, however after the police realise theres a dog wondering the park alone, they send a vicious guard dog to take Seety into custody.

The Final Major Project is designed to be at the centrefront of my portfolio after graduating from university.
